Do not copy the market

Do not copy the market.
Zero to One puts it hard: progress that matters is not a better version of what already exists. It is a thing that was not there. Most owner-led groups do the opposite. They walk the competitor’s floor. Match the hours. Buy the same software because the group down the road bought it. Hire the same roles. Run the same week.
You get busy. You do not get distinct.
The copy shows up in three places.
The offer. If a customer cannot tell you from the next operator without looking at the sign, you are in a price fight. Price fights go to the people with more money.
The week. If your week is their week, your people chase the same exceptions. Volume goes up. The week does not get lighter. You add a person. You add a meeting. The week stays a copy.
The stack. Same tools as everyone else is fine. Same use of those tools is not. Paying for capacity and running the old week is how a new motor stays on an old floor.
A copy starts with the tool the market is talking about. A week that is yours starts with the people you already have and the work only they should still do.
Monday: name one thing you will not copy this week. One. Write it down. Run the week that is yours.
You do not need another login. You need hours. sideKick puts another team on the systems you already pay for. The extra team you wish you had. You keep the work only you can do. We stay as long as we are worth it.
The groups that last are not the best copies. They run the week that is theirs.
